Who is Nathan?
Nathan's Notes was established by Nathan Eagan within 2010 when he realised that there was demand for home tuition and in particular Piano.
He was taught by several teachers and learnt something valuable from each of them. He believes that the legacy of a good teacher is their students. In the past, he has achieved his Grade Five practical and theory examinations through the Associated Board of The Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM). More recently, he studied for two years under the instruction of Azada Zeynalova (Russian pianist) and also Mami Shikimori - acclaimed Japanese pianist who delivers performances internationally.
Nathan has previously been a pianist at the Bear Hotel in Wantage, Oxfordshire for a number of years. He played for hours without music as he can listen and play by ear.
Nathan really enjoys playing the piano - especially the satisfaction of being able to play good music from a variety of styles through just listening. He uses various teaching methods - tailored to the needs and preferences of the student. Some methods develop the 'musical ear', so eventually many of his students are able to develop this skill effectively. He also specialise in teaching music to special needs using varied and effective techniques.
Piano playing is a skill that somebody never forgets. Regular practice helps the musician progress further - Nathan is a strong believer in that.
In addition to music, Nathan has achieved a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Business Studies through Solent University and graduated during 2001. He has experience within various regiments of the British Army.
